Gabby and Chase are planning a fancy night out while the boys attend this year's homeschool homecoming dance. Though these things haven't happened yet, everyone needs fancy clothes for a fancy night! One morning, classes were cancelled at the college for a teacher in-service type thing. Caelan and Gabby took this opportunity to go to the mall and try on dresses . . . like $10 formal dresses! Unbelievable! Gabby found a gown she likes, and Caelan found two that she likes. Chase met up with Gabby while Caelan headed to work. Then Chase and Gabby surprised Noah at work! Chase needed some fancy, too :) Noah got him set up with a suit coat and a tie to match Gabby's dress. When Chase dropped Gabby off at home, he was wearing his new suit! Gabby changed into her dress, because Chase hadn't seen it yet. Very fancy Thursday night :) I didn't get any photos, but the fancy date night is quickly approaching, so there will be lots of stunning photos available soon.
Perhaps inspired by the fancy people on Thursday, on Friday, Noah arrived at our house dressed in HIS new suit--a purchase made possible by a hiring bonus discount and I think maybe a quarterly bonus was worked in there, too. Anyway, Noah looked very dapper, so Caelan decided she would try on her new dresses, so Noah could see them. With Caelan and Noah all fancy, Graysen decided he should give his new "waistcoat--it's NOT a vest" ;) and tie a trial run. He bought them specifically to match his new Nikes. Noah helped Graysen figure out the tie-tying part. Brennen couldn't be left out, so he, too, became fancy on a Friday night!
Shortly after we snapped these pics, they all changed back into their sweatpants and sweatshirts and dug into some grub :) I sure like these guys!
