Noah's Birthday!

We arrived home from our trip the day before Noah's 20th birthday. He is old now ;) That's what the kids tell him, anyway. Caelan drove to his house to celebrate with his family, and then she brought him back to school the next day. Since we missed the opportunity to celebrate Noah on his special day, we arranged an after football practice party. The boys and I picked up gas station pizza (woot!) and Gabby worked on baking and decorating a special cake.

Noah seemed surprised we'd made these arrangements and wasn't quite sure how to respond to being the unexpected center of attention :) We all gathered around the gift table in the living room, and Gabby put Chase on speaker-phone, so he could enjoy the party from afar.

Gabby's gift got the best laugh! The primary thing the kids tease Noah about is putting ketchup on his nachos. So when Gabby found this mug . . . she decided it was perfect! She and Chase went shopping for the ketchup, and viola, the perfect gift :) The boys loaded Noah up with dorm snacks, for which he was very grateful.

We're so excited to see what God brings into Noah's life and Caelan's life in their twenties. It is a time like no other, with amazing life leaps like no other! Praying God covers their 20s with His favor, with wisdom, and with opportunities to serve Him better.

We took the world's fastest--and slowest--trip to Colorado for Buck's stepmom's memorial service. I say fastest, because it took...
