Yay, I can finally share all the try-on pictures of Caelan's day at the wedding dress shop! 

This was the second dress, they didn't have a crinoline so they tried a hoop skirt to make it look more full :)

This one was pretty, but not quite fancy enough

This one was too simple, but would have been great for a beach wedding or a reception dress :)

This dress was pale pink, but it shortened her torso . . . she did like the lace!

This is the first dress she tried on (just $300). She really liked it at first, lots of lace and tulle. She tried it on a second time, along with the one she ended up choosing. The glitter dress won the day!

So beautiful! It will be even moreso once it is steamed and cleaned and fitted, which you've already seen the result of at the wedding!!

Here is a picture of Caelan's first dress fitting. We found a sweet, older woman who has been sewing since she was a young girl. She used to take her older sisters' discarded frocks (which her mother handmade) to school where here teacher let her use the school's machines to remake the clothes for herself. Sewing at home wasn't an option, because if she broke the machine then no one would have clothes.

Now she has a studio in her immaculate house (it was like walking into an historic movie set). I'm so glad Caelan found her! In fact, she was delighted to discover Caelan also can sew and make alterations (in fact had already done some on the dress herself). The seamstress explained exactly what Caelan could do to make some of the adjustments and how to do them successfully. I was concerned that taking the dress in as much as it needs to be would be impossible or really expensive. But neither was true! In fact, this lady's charges were so far below our alternations budget, that we gave her a nice bonus. The second fitting was actually a pick up!
