Graysen and Brennen followed each other in the batting order as right field and first base, then later as catcher and pitcher. This was the first time G$ had an opportunity to catch all season! Brennen struck out a bunch of batters, but Graysen got the out "glory" because he dropped three third strikes and threw the kids out at first or tagged them out at home before they realized they could run. Together, they got the job done :)

Both boys have scored several runs this year, and both had really nice hits during these games. I finally got a picture of G$ crossing home plate :)

Five hours later . . . we were ready to head home. However, it was nice that our neighbor and her son picked the girls up from work and brought them to the game. It's so hard for me to be in two places at once with one set of wheels. They stayed through the end of the first game and into the start of the next. Caelan's prom friend also attended the game, and got some smiles out of Brennen by chatting with him when he was on deck to bat. And Buck's cohort buddy from church was there to watch his nephew on the opposing team, but came over to say hi and talk to our boys after the game.

It's not easy to forget all that is going on with our family and their health, but just keeping our brains and bodies busy helps some. It ended up being a nice night for baseball. Tonight is the season's grand finale. Six weeks late (due to rain delays), but we'll take it. It's fun to see our boys play the game of baseball and to play it together :)

It's good that you all keep so busy; keeping both body and mind occupied helps a little with all the other things that are going on in your lives.
