The girls have been busy filling an order for Hawkeye bears that wanted to live in AZ and CA--they found the cutest fabric at store all glittery and gold :) Don't tell anyone, but we ran out of stuffing 3/4 of the way through the last bear . . . I didn't want to go to the store, so I said, "Does anyone have a floppy pillow they're not using?" Ha! Gabby provided the decorative pillow on her bed, we made it a little bit floppier, and the bear is officially fully stuffed :) Creativity in crafting, right there!Caelan has a bunch of little projects in the works--she's finished one mitten for Gabby, I think one penguin mitten for another project, she's in the middle of cross-stitching, oh and a penguin hat, and she just got an order to make newborn deer hats/booties/diaper cover for a friend of mine who does photography in Washington (I should keep track of all the states she's shipped to!) One project that's recently been sent and already arrived . . . the pink octopus hat, awaiting its owner's arrival in about two months :)

The girls are also learning new skills for their dressmaking section in Home Ec. As of last night and today, they're both working the iron and ironing board! They've also learned how to use fusible interfacing. I'll do a full blog post on the dress process, but we can record the ironing aspect now--yes, learn to iron! Iron like the wind!!! (I don't think that makes sense). Ha!
