Music Recital

It's amazing how a basement can transform into a little performing studio with just a string of Christmas lights and a room full of people. Well, and instruments . . . there were a few of those as well :) One huge blessing is that Buck hasn't missed any of this . . . ANY of it! That's so amazing! His new flexibility and family-focused work environment is a treat for us all. He wasn't able to attend last year's recital, so this year, he made sure everybody could join in :) Many of you watched on FB live . . . super cool, right? Here are a few pictures I snapped during the recital.

BTW, the kids each got to choose their own Christmas songs. The arrangements ended up changing quite a few times (in the two weeks they had to prepare), and Feliz Navidad proved too challenging to simplify for the boys, so they didn't all get exactly what they wanted to play . . . however, I felt like our crew took up a majority of the performance time, so it was probably ok that our fellows shared just one song :)

Thanks for cheering them on!

Rudy and I were happy to hear that Buck was able to attend their music concert! We were talking about that - that it sounds like he has more flexibility, especially during this time of year, which has always seemed to be very busy with work. Yay, new work environment!!! We enjoyed watching the performances live - next best thing to being there!

Colorado

We took the world's fastest--and slowest--trip to Colorado for Buck's stepmom's memorial service. I say fastest, because it took...
