Decorating the Tree

Our indoor decorations went up a bit later than usual this year, but earlier than planned. Buck's extra time off while awaiting his second round of negative covid tests were pretty relaxing and fun. Caelan's class ring arrived, so we took it to the jeweler to be engraved. Since we were near the restaurant Grandma J sent a Thanksgiving gift card for, we decided a nice family meal would be just the thing to do before returning home to decorate :) Oh, and Zoom youth group, I can't forget that came in between.

Blogger would like to present you with the finished product before showing you the process of decorating, lol! I can't fight this kind of technology :) We still need to buy candy canes, but here's our pretty, custom tree in its pretty evening glow . . .

Buck can glow too :)

And I put up my nativity scene this year. Last year, I just didn't feel too Christmassy, so we mostly just decorated the tree and put the stockings on the mantle. When we helped clean out our friends' grandparents' house this summer, they had a few extra critters, people, and this barn (that clearly Joseph is too tall for :) It's hard to know what to do with so many figurines, so a few ladies got to stand on top of the books for a better view.
